Trevor Jones has composed music for over 90 film and television projects.He has also written music for the theatre and ballet "Angel Heart- A Flaming Desire".
He was commissioned to write The Pall Mall Suite for the LSO and has arranged several suites of film music for concert performances at the Oulu and Madrid International Film Music Festivals.
Recently he wrote an overture for the University of the Western Cape and is at present engaged in writing a Mass and a new ballet "Still Moving" for performance by the Royal Ballet.
He has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, The London Philharmonic Orchestra, The Academy of St Martin in the Fields, The Medici String Quartet, The Gabrielli String Quartet, The Alberni String Quartet, and The Endemion String Quartet.
He has also collaborated with David Bowie, Sting, U2, Sinead O'Connor, Charlotte Church, Britney Spears, Elvis Costello, amongst others.
He has been a jury member for BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) on numerous occasions and has been a member of the jury for the Mercury Music Prize for 8 successive years.
He has also served on the jury of the International Film Festival of Flanders, Ghent.He lectures extensively on Film Music.
In addition to being Professor of Music at the NFTVS he has given Masterclasses at the Royal College of Music, The Film Music Conference at the National Film & Television Museum, The National Film Theatre, BAFTA, The Soncinemad International Festival of Film Music, The Arts Council of Spain in Barcelona, The National Film & Television School and The Hay Festival.
